Positive Impact

The boys who feel they have vocation to priesthood join the Seminary to discover their vocation. Those who feel called to serve God in priesthood join the Major Seminaries.

Brief about our alumni.

Queen of Apostles Seminary Old Boys Association is a non-profit association of like-minded
former school mates who joined since the inception of the seminary in the early
60’s.

All the activities conducted by QASOBA are entirely voluntary aimed at benefiting
the institution. It is obvious that amongst us, we have produced professionals
in all walks of life: highly celebrated Professors, Governors, and Politicians
and in the spiritual life Bishops and Priests, Brothers.

With that perspective in mind, when all like-minded members pool their resources
together to sponsor projects in the school, only the sky is the limit. Just
last month, we launched phase one of the newly built basketball court. This was
a milestone of achievement and commitment by members who willingly sacrificed
to give back to the institution that mould them to who they are today. We all
can help to assist with moulding of the current and future students of the
school. This culture of giving back will rain blessings on all of us and put a sense
of pride and ownership.

Our projects are as below: –

  1. Increasing priesthood vocations- we need shepherds.
  2. WAYS TO RAISE FUNDS
FOR NEEDY STUDENTS – setting up a working bursary/ scholarship fund that will
enable the needy with vocation to be admitted.
  3. Refurbishment of the basketball court phase one- DONE AND COMPLETED and
    phase 2 YET TO START.
  4. Solar project to reduce electricity bills.
  5. Biogas project- utility gas for cooking and ware heating as well as electricity.
  6. Irrigation & farming ensuring food self sufficiency.
  7. Borehole and water project- cost cutting.
  8. QASOBA annual and life membership programme.
